Our mutual fried Lief arrived that morning around 11am after pulling an all nighter coming from Barcelona, Spain. We made a quick stop by the train station again on our way into town so we could purchase our train tickets from Zurich to Munich all together and thankfully we received a meager but needed discount. After we decided to venture around town some more. We headed off in a different direction across the main river and up the more hilly region. Wandering threw the streets we went into an authentic small cheese shop and each purchased gourmet local cheeses for reasonable prices. There was a beautiful old manner residing along the river that we stopped and took picture at. Our main direction ended actually being towards what we thought was the zoo but we never made it. We climbed higher into the surrounding hills. Here we stumbled upon Zurich University that had absolutely amazing views. We then saw in the distance a large castle-esk tower so that became our new destination. Here up top of Zurich we broke out the different cheeses and passed them around sampling what each other had picked out.
Going down the hill was much easier and we made good time back into town. There we did some more wandering, got some chocolate and tried a new dish the Coup offered, a falafel. This falafel though was much different then in the states. It was the most delicious items I ingested while in Zurich. To save money on bathrooms cause the only way we would have been able to go was by going to a restaurant we choose to invade about every Starbucks. About the only thing cheep we found in the whole city was water, even sparkling ranged about 25 cents, chocolate and cheese.
The boys went back a little earlier then us girls who stayed and did a little shopping. Then grabbed some gelato. Satisfied and a little tired from a day of walking we headed back for a quick nap and some showers. We were a bit bummed about being around a 15 minute walk outside the city but when the front desk informed us we were located in the heart of the night life scene our attitudes flipped quickly. After some drinking games in the room we left for the club. We were on our way to a club called Super Market but met some locals who convinced us about another location. This was hands down the most wild place any of us had ever been. It was a 30 frank cover charge but basically is was a concert/rave. Located in a large warehouse it could hold a couple thousand. Lights everywhere. Blaring music. It was awesome.
